Full Job Description
The English Coach will assume responsibility for helping students enhance their understanding and command of the English language, focusing on reading, writing, and speaking skills. This involves assessing student levels, identifying areas for improvement, and devising personalized tutoring approaches. You will engage students with a variety of instructional techniques—such as discussions, literature analysis, and creative writing assignments—to build language proficiency and self-confidence. A critical aspect of this role is to foster an appreciation for literature and develop students’ critical thinking abilities by exploring various genres and influential works. Communication with parents and teachers to discuss progress and strategies for further development is important.
The Work You'll Do:
- Collaborate with parents and teachers to set student goals and track their academic journey
- Conduct regular evaluations to measure student progress and adjust teaching methods
- Create personalized lesson plans that focus on individual student needs in English
- Cultivate a passion for reading and writing by introducing students to a range of literature
- Incorporate diverse teaching materials, including digital content, to complement instruction
