As a Live-in Companion for individuals with disabilities, you will focus on providing both emotional and practical support, ensuring a high standard of living for clients around the clock. This role involves living with clients, building strong relationships through companionship, and assisting them in everyday activities. By promoting social interaction and autonomy, you will help clients achieve a fulfilling lifestyle. This role requires a great deal of empathy and a genuine commitment to enhancing individual client lives through support and care in a home setting.
The Work You'll Do:
- Assist in daily routines, ensuring they are carried out effectively
- Develop and maintain a supportive relationship with clients to enhance their emotional well-being
- Encourage participation in social and leisure activities for overall development
- Help with household management and self-care tasks
- Provide updates to families and healthcare teams about the client's progress
