Full Job Description
The Materials Coordinator is tasked with the responsibility of planning, coordinating, and supervising the storage, transport, and distribution of goods within the production facility. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring stock levels of materials remain optimal for production needs and that logistics operations are efficient.
The Work You'll Do:
- Coordinate material procurement, storage, and distribution activities efficiently within the production environment.
- Develop and implement systems for inventory management that improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels closely, ordering new supplies and materials as needed to support manufacturing.
- Report on inventory status, issues with suppliers, and production material needs to management regularly.
- Work with suppliers to ensure that the supply of materials meets production needs and forecast future supply needs.

Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a closely related field.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of lean production methodologies is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and supply chain management.
- Two years of experience in a similar role within a production or manufacturing environment.
