Full Job Description
The Night Shift Caregiver provides essential support and care for residents during nighttime hours in a healthcare facility. This role requires monitoring residents' safety, assisting with personal care, and addressing any immediate healthcare needs that arise during the night. You'll also conduct regular rounds to ensure the wellbeing and comfort of all residents, offering emotional support and assistance with any mobility needs. Meticulous attention to detail is required to document any significant changes in residents' conditions and report these to daytime staff. A compassionate, vigilant, and patient approach is critical for success in this role.
The Work You'll Do:
- Assist in repositioning and mobility to prevent bedsores and enhance comfort.
- Complete shift reports and communicate updates to day shift caregivers.
- Conduct hourly rounds to check the safety and comfort of all residents throughout the night.
- Provide personal care, including dressing, toileting, and bathing assistance for residents.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls or health alerts during the night shift.
