Full Job Description
Respite Care Workers provide temporary relief to primary caregivers by offering direct care services to individuals with special needs or disabilities. This includes assisting clients with their daily tasks, managing their routines, and providing a nurturing environment. You will safeguard the wellbeing of clients and ensure they receive consistent care while their primary caregivers are temporarily unavailable.
The Work You'll Do:
- Collaborate with families to uphold the clients' care standards
- Document changes in client behaviour or health conditions
- Ensure the safety and comfort of clients in various settings
- Provide social support and engagement through activities and outings
- Support clients with activities of daily living according to care plans
