Full Job Description

The role of a Respite Carer in Companion Services involves providing temporary respite care for individuals with disabilities or chronic illnesses, allowing primary caregivers to take necessary breaks. You will deliver high-quality care and support, address the personal and health care needs of clients, and ensure their safety and comfort during periods of respite. This role requires flexibility, empathy, and an understanding of the complexities involved in providing care to maintain consistency in the client's routine and facilitate a positive experience for both the client and the primary care provider.

The Work You'll Do:

• Administer medications and liaise with healthcare providers as needed
• Engage clients in activities for enjoyment and developmental growth
• Provide temporary short-term care to clients
• Support clients’ daily activities while maintaining regular routines
• Work closely with primary caregivers to ensure seamless care
