Full Job Description

As a Soil Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in interpreting soil data to support precision agriculture initiatives. You'll be responsible for collecting, managing, and analyzing soil samples data to help improve crop production and sustainability. Your expertise will contribute to optimizing soil management practices and ensuring data accuracy for reporting purposes. Collaborating with colleagues, you will also develop predictive models and simulations to forecast soil conditions and assist in strategic planning for sustainable land management. This includes the refinement of data collection methodologies to increase efficiency.

The Work You'll Do:
  • Analyze soil samples and data to identify patterns and inform agricultural decisions.
  • Collaborate with agricultural scientists to devise and refine data collection methodologies.
  • Develop predictive models to assess potential soil changes and their impact on crop production.
  • Integrate soil data with other datasets to enhance understanding and agricultural outputs.
  • Prepare detailed reports and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years of experience in data analysis with a specific focus on soil or agricultural sciences.
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Agronomy, or a related field. Advanced degrees are preferred.
  • Experience with GIS software and remote sensing data is an asset.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing data-driven agricultural strategies.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
