Full Job Description
The Activity Coordinator is responsible for designing and organizing engaging recreational programs for children in an after-school care environment. This position requires someone with creativity, energy, and an understanding of child development, to create activities that are fun while promoting social skills, teamwork, and individual growth. The Coordinator will manage and supervise various after-school activities ensuring safety and inclusiveness and will collaborate with parents and staff to tailor programs that align with children's interests and developmental needs. The goal is to provide a stimulating environment where children can relax, learn, and have fun after a busy school day.
The Work You'll Do:
- Coordinate with other staff to integrate lesson plans and educational objectives into recreational activities
- Design and implement diverse activities that support the development of children's personal and social skills
- Engage parents and seek feedback to continuously improve the range of activities offered
- Promote inclusivity by creating activities that address the needs of children with differing abilities and backgrounds
- Supervise participants to ensure their safety and enjoyment in a controlled environment

Qualifications:

- Four years of experience in coordinating youth activities or recreational programs
- Knowledge of current trends in after-school programming and recreation
